Please note that general admissions criteria can be accessed by visiting the Admissions Process page.
Depending on your program, you may be automatically admitted if your GPA is 3.25 or higher. If your GPA is below 3.25 and/or you are applying to the Master of Management program, you may be required to provide one or more of the following additional documents from the general admissions criteria: at least 2 letters of recommendation, a copy of your resume and a 2 to 3 page long personal statement.
*Please note that all documents must be submitted at the same time.
All documents can be emailed or faxed to the university except your USA official transcript or evaluation of your foreign degree. The original hard copy of those documents must be mailed to the university or given in person to your admissions representative. All documents MUST be received before a decision can be made.
Once all required documentation* has been received and is confirmed to be accurate, it will be evaluated for admissions requirements and I-20 eligibility. This process can take up to two weeks starting after all required documents are received.
Once the I-20 is received, the student is able to apply for a student visa (F-1) through their respective U.S. Consulate.
We understand that this is a lot of information and you may be confused or have questions. Please contact one of our Directors of Graduate Relations with any questions you may have regarding the admissions process.
Download the international student checklist to help you keep track of required documentation.
*If you graduated from a high school outside of the United States and cannot get an official high school transcript because of political unrest or a natural disaster in your homeland, you can submit a letter of explanation to the RMU Provost. You should include relevant academic documentation (i.e., ACT or SAT scores, official college transcripts, proof of armed forces training, or proof of English proficiency) as part of your application.
