September 9 turned out to be a great day for golf at Olympia Fields Country Club. There was a nice breeze, not too much sun and the rain held off until all the golfers finished the PGA North course! A big thanks to all of our sponsors, participants and friends of the university who were able to partake in the festivities. We are definitely looking forward to next year’s event! Proceeds from this event will support new academic programming and scholarships and will help us continue our mission to provide an affordable, career-focused education to diverse communities.
On August 12, 2016 donors, sponsors, corporate partners and friends joined together at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park for a night of dinner, libations and music to raise funds for Robert Morris University Illinois. The Chicago Experience theme highlighted how Experience-based Learning impacts not just the student's learning experience, but also the many Chicago neighborhoods we serve.
Not only did the 2016 Summer Gala sell out, but the event raised almost $30,000 in revenue for RMU scholarships and academic programs! Guests enjoyed drinks and dinner in the PNC Ballroom along with reserved seating in the outdoor pavilion for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance with Joshua Bell and Chris Botti. Thank you to all who made the 2016 Summer Gala a great success!
Here's a recap of the Gala festivities:
Thank you to everyone who assisted in making this Gin and Jazz event possible.
If you were able to join us on November 20 at the beautiful Orland Park campus for Robert Morris University's "Gin and Jazz" - a fundraiser for the Performing Arts program - you know what a fantastic event it was. The capacity crowd helped raise over $14,000 for RMU musicians, artists, dancers and actors. For those who were unable to attend, here is a short video created by unite 4 good, showing students, staff, faculty and friends getting their 1920s groove on - and all for a great cause: RMU!
