John, a veteran of the Illinois coaching ranks, made an immediate impact on the ACHA and women’s hockey since joining the RMC ranks in 2003. Last year’s team posted a 37-6-1 record, was ranked #1 in the nation all year, and swept thru the competition to win the ACHA National Championship. Under John’s guidance, the Eagles have posted a 68-11-7 record since the program was started.  The team has been ranked #1 Nationally in the ACHA polls all but one ranking period since it’s inception.

In addition to having played and coached hockey for over 30 years, John holds a Masters Level Certification from USA Hockey. In the off season, John can be found working at hockey camps for AHAI, and works several women’s hockey camps on the East Coast.

John, a product of Chicago’s South Side, resides in Naperville with his wife CJ and two children, Matt and Jessie.

Assistant Coach: Chris Chelios

Chris is a Graduate of University of Wisconsin - Superior where he played four years with the Yellow jackets. He later was the Assistant Coach for the Women’s team at UW Superior before embarking on a career in Minor Pro Hockey in the ECHL. Chris is currently the Hockey Director at All-Seasons Ice arena, and is associated with various hockey organizations in the area. This is Chris’s second year with the Eagles as Assistant Coach and we look forward to his continued participation.
