2005 Estonian Tournament

After winning the American Collegiate Hockey Association’s National Championship in 2005, the Robert Morris Women’s Hockey team was invited by the Estonian Ice Hockey Federation to compete at the international level against seven different teams from Latvia, Denmark, Great Britain, Iceland, and Estonia.

Tallinn, Estonia, a medieval harbor town bordered by Latvia and Russia, gained its independence a mere 14 years ago after five decades of Soviet occupation.

Before the puck hit the ice, we spent our first three days in Estonia learning about European culture, and specifically, the history of Estonia.
