Chicagoland Championships
Naperville, IL

With the close loss on March 29th, the Eagles set out to burn up the track in Naperville.  The Chicagoland Championship proved to be a place of redemption and success for our team.  Our top effort was from Christine Luke who’s finish brought her .43 seconds from the national qualifying time.  Thereafter, in all events, but one, each runner saw a tremendous improvement from last week.  Erika Hudson dropped a full second off her 400m time. Janvier Hammonds dropped 4 seconds and Miranda Russell dropped almost ten seconds in the 800m. Hammonds didn’t stop there, she shaved 11 seconds off in the 1500m run.  Our 5000m competitors, Alicia and Andrea Fiorino, dropped 58 seconds combined!  Our 4x100m Relay Team finished 3 seconds faster as a team.  Next week we are headed to Olivet Nazarene and they will prove to have fierce competition.
