Lady Eagles place 12th at Women's Chicagoland Indoor Meet

February 2nd   Bloomington, IL

The Lady Eagles were back on the road this past weekend at the Titan Open in Bloomington, Illinois.  This year, the meet was a lot smaller leaving more room for improvement.  The biggest improvement came from Janvier Hammonds in the mile.  She knocked off twenty five seconds in the mile for a new school record!  Erika Hudson also saw improvement in her specialty event, the 400m.  She finished with a time of 1:03.  Natasha Buchanan and Tanginia Tasker also had an adequate run finishing just a few seconds behind Hudson.  Christine Luke represented RMC in the short sprints and just missed finals in the 55m with a time of 7.71. Alicia and Andrea Fiorino made their indoor season debut with finishes in the mile and 3000m respectively.  Nicquel Fischer led the throwers with a 29 foot throw in the shot put.  Loreal Nolden, Kameeca Pickney-Wilson, and Jatorie McCullum, were close behind.  This weekend the Women’s Track Team will not have far to travel.  We are looking forward to continuing progress at the Dick Pond Invitational which will be held at Lewis University.
