The Importance of Friends
More...

So let's go over the importance of friends in college. College can be a very stressful place. You have to deal with your classes, homework, your job (if you work), as well as clubs and sports.  It's a lot to handle and sometimes it can weigh you down. That's why it is important to have good friends who you can talk to and who you trust to help you get through all of that. Family can only do so much.

Having a good friend in general is very important. Being able to sit down and talk to someone about your problems and about what's going on in your life and trust that they will respect you and help you through is important. Everybody needs a good friend, maybe two! Everyone should have someone to talk to, but also be aware of whom you make your friends.

There are a lot of untrustworthy people out there and they can make you feel worse. They don't want to be your friends, they just want to hear gossip and start gossip. They are nosy and sneaky and don't care about anyone but themselves. It hard to trust anyone after you have been hurt so many times. Friends are important and I'm thankful that I have a few good friends in my life!

Clueless
More...

So I'm not too sure what to write about this time. Summer has been great so far even though I'm still in school. School is good! I recently switched majors and I like fitness and nutrition a lot. I've been to Six Flags like a thousand times and I'm going a thousand more times! I recently got stuck on the Superman ride though, so I'm not going on that ever again!  But life is good.  I can't wait for graduation and for me to further my education. I've also been singing in the show choir and I love it. I can't wait to see where this leads too. I'm just excited overall to see where life takes me.

Spalding

Dear Spalding,

I miss you with all my heart. I'm sorry I gave up on you and left you. You were my best friend and my pastime. You always made me feel better when I was down and I could always depend on you. You were my best friend since I was in the crib; what was I thinking to leave you?

By the way, Spalding is referring to basketball. Basketball was my first love before track and now I really do miss it. I didn't realize how much I missed it until this past Saturday. The RMU show choir sang the National Anthem at the WNBA Chicago Sky game. But before we sang I got to see all the players run out and I almost cried. I miss getting hyped for the game, the warm-ups, and the starting tip off. I realized then that it was time to go back, time to go back to what I really love and always will-basketball!
