So I'm not too sure what to write about this time. Summer has been great so far even though I'm still in school. School is good! I recently switched majors and I like fitness and nutrition a lot. I've been to Six Flags like a thousand times and I'm going a thousand more times! I recently got stuck on the Superman ride though, so I'm not going on that ever again! But life is good. I can't wait for graduation and for me to further my education. I've also been singing in the show choir and I love it. I can't wait to see where this leads too. I'm just excited overall to see where life takes me.

When you're in high school and people explain to you the definition of freshman 15, you think it's a joke. But unfortunately it is not a joke. Freshman 15 is real and it happens to everyone. Just in case you forgot, freshman 15 is the 15 pounds that you gain when you are a freshman in college. It's really easy to gain those pounds now that you don't have a set diet, or if you go to school in a big city.
RMU is right in the middle of all of downtown Chicago. Everything is around you from malls to restaurants at every corner. It's really hard to think about watching your calories or eating healthy with a McDonalds at every corner. What can you do? You can both go to the 7th floor and pay for food; more like a snack, or you can buy a meal.
In high school we had a set meal plan. We had the same thing every week depending on what day it was. It was either pizza on Monday, or chicken wings on Thursday. You couldn't leave for lunch like you can in college and they even cut back on how much they give you since my freshman year. The school went on a diet basically, and made all the pops diet and cut our lunch in half.
Since it is so different from high school you can't help but wanting to eat other foods. When you are in the city you have so many choices. What are you going to choose from? Yes you can bring your own lunch, but who has time for that especially if you have an 8:00 am class. It's pretty hard!
Overall Chicago is a great city and RMU is a great school. It's right in the middle of all the craziness of the city. There are so many good things happening around you that you should never get bored. But if you looking for a lot of places to eat healthy, you may have to look in the hidden areas. I hate to admit it, but there is no way to avoid the freshman 15, but you can always work out!

What would I do without scholarships? College is so expensive these days, so every scholarship counts. I have a scholarship from track, show choir, and softball and I love to do all of these things. It's so easy to get a scholarship from things that you love to do. I think of scholarships as people from the school paying you. They are paying me to do something that I love to do, but the money is going towards school. I love going to school, because I get to look forward to something. I look forward to a better education and career, and sports. Robert Morris is a great school with many opportunities; there are so many things to do and so many chances to earn a scholarship. I Love it. Overall I love RMU and I love how they have so many chances and opportunities.
