Ryan Ballard, Jake Arsenault, and Ben Koopman, accounting students from the Orland Park campus, attended the IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) Conference this month.  IMA is the worldwide association of accountants and financial professionals in business and they are one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession.

Each year IMA sponsors the conference specifically for students.  The students learned how to build a personal and professional network and met with recruiters from well-known companies looking to fill internships and entry-level positions.  They attended several educational sessions on Leadership, CMA Exam and credential, Finance Skills for Future Success, and Forensic Accounting.

During the trip, Ryan, Jake, And Ben also had the opportunity to tour Busch Stadium and the Gateway Arch and Museum.

All of this was made possible thanks to a $1,000 grant from the IMA Mid-America Council, a $250 grant from our local IMA chapter, and funds raised through GoFundMe.
