Last year RMU awarded over $30 million dollars in scholarships.

Robert Morris University offers scholarship awards based on financial need, academic achievement, athletic ability and talent. Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria.  All are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis once students apply. While not an all-exclusive list, this highlights RMU’s premiere scholarships, that you may qualify for. To learn about other opportunities, please start the application process by May 1, 2018.

Faculty Scholar Awards

For the 18-19 school year, the following Faculty Scholar Awards are available to 2018 High School graduates (Scholarship application deadline is February 1, 2018):

  • Graduates possessing a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) may qualify for up to $6,000 per academic year
  • Graduates possessing an SAT score of 1180-1310 AND a GPA of 2.5 or higher may qualify for the Soaring Scholar award up to $7,500 per academic year toward a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Graduates possessing an SAT score of 1320 or higher AND a GPA of 2.5 or higher may qualify for the Elite Academic Scholar up to $18,000 each academic year toward a Bachelor’s Degree

One Goal Grant
One Goal participants with a 2.7 GPA or higher are eligible for up to $6,000 their freshman year.

Athletic and Performing Arts
Scholarships are awarded for RMU’s 55 athletic teams and 9 performing arts groups based on talent at the discretion of the coach/director. Complete the Recruit Me form to receive more information.

Awards are available for incoming freshmen, who are recent 2018 high school graduates, starting enrollment during the July or September 2018 terms at RMU. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA while enrolled at RMU to renew their award. The total of all scholarships and grants cannot exceed the cost of tuition.
  • College of Adult Studies grant of up to 30% off tuition
  • Phi Theta Kappa scholarship for associate degree graduates with a 3.5 GPA or higher of up to $6,000
  • More than 70 corporate partnerships with tuition discounts for employees
  • Premiere Community College Partnership scholarships of up to $12,000 to associate degree graduates from over 30 colleges in the state of Illinois
  • Chicago City College scholarship of up to $12,000 for associate degree graduates from Business, Computer Studies, Culinary, or Health Studies majors
  • Chicago Star Scholars scholarship up to 20% off tuition each academic year toward a bachelor’s degree for associate degree graduates from Chicago City Colleges

Master of Management Grants
Students who enroll in the MM program with a concentration in Health Care Management, Higher Education Administration or Law Enforcement Administration are eligible to receive a grant of up to $2,600 per specialization course. 

Master of Information Systems Grant
Students who enroll in any of the MIS concentrations are eligible to receive a grant of up to $750 per course.

Full-Time Day MBA Grant
Students who enroll in the Full-Time Day MBA program option and maintain a 3.0 GPA are eligible to receive a grant of up to $750 per course.

Branch Location Scholarship
New Graduate students who attend a branch campus will be awarded their first class free.

Alumni Scholarship
RMU Undergraduate Alumni who graduated with a 3.0 GPA or higher are awarded scholarships beginning at $500 per class.

Corporate Partner Scholarships
RMU will match participating company’s tuition reimbursement for graduate tuition of up to $5,250 annually ($1,050 per quarter).

2017-2018 Tuition and Fees

2017-2018 tuition will be effective as of July 1, 2017.

Full-Time (12 or more credit hours)
$8,900 per quarter

All students taking 12, 16, 20, or 24 quarter hours per quarter will be charged full-time tuition. Any student given permission by the Director of Education to take more than 24 hours will be charged extra for the additional courses.

Tuition is assessed each term based on enrolled hours on the day representing the official census for verification of enrollment. No tuition adjustment is done for repeated, incomplete, or failed coursework previously charged.

Part-Time (6 – 11 credit hours)
$6,000 per quarter

Less-Than-Part-Time Study (Less than 6 credit hours)
$3,000 per quarter

All programs have a fee charged per quarter for both part-time and full-time students. Fees are charged each quarter through the completion of student’s degree (Associates and/or Bachelor’s)
