Law Office Administration

A Legal Career through RMU’s Law Office Administration Program

Choose a career with growth potential in law office management. Students with a Law Office Administration Degree play a critical role in legal office management. Our legal studies program will give students the skills they require to successfully navigate the growing career field but also excel in their jobs. Many students who acquire a Paralegal Associates Degree move onto complete their BPS in law office administration education.

The justice system requires lawyers and attorneys to help people navigate the legal waters, and they require knowledgable people to help run the office. Employees with law office administration training can keep their legal offices running while attorneys concentrate on the law. Students who graduate with an education from our law office administration school will receive a broad base of knowledge and competencies to perform a wide variety of tasks which the career demands. This includes day-to-day skills like scheduling, production and interpretation of various management and legal reports, case load organization, database management, production and classification of documents for litigation, client relations, fact gathering, and drafting legal documents.

RMU Provides The Legal Studies For a Rewarding Career

With a Bachelor of Professional Studies, students will receive law office administration training from dedicated teachers who will help them reach their goals. Students will receive instruction on common managerial elements of organizations as they learn law office technology, legal administration and research, information technology applicable to the practice of law, legal ethics, and substantive law topics.

Law office administration classes will teach students a broad but directed foundation in intellectual inquiry to develop perspectives, knowledge, and cognitive skills that find application in the professional coursework. Through RMU law office administration classes, students will develop their ability to analyze crime evidence, civil disputes and prepare documents for hearings or trials. They will receive a law office administration education that will provide the skills needed to evaluate and resolve disputes through alternative legal methods such as arbitration, mediation, negotiation and conciliation. Students will review cases and develop arguments through expanded research methods.
