Students have the opportunity to study in a foreign nation and take in the allure and culture of a new land. *Multiple studies have shown that study abroad positively and unequivocally influences the career path, world-view, and self-confidence of students.

The following are study abroad opportunities offered each year at RMU:  

FLORENCE has been the destination for RMU students abroad for over a decade. As a student abroad you will participate in courses at Florence University of Arts as well as complete an international internship. You will spend 7 weeks learning about the country, the city, the culture and your industry. You will reside in apartments situated in the historic city center of Florence within walking distance of the campuses, markets and famous sites. Open to all sophomore-level or higher students.


SPRING 2 QUARTER
DEADLINE TO APPLY: FEBRUARY 24, 2020

Open to all majors

STUDY ABROAD FEE:  $8500


HAMBURG at iTech has been the destination of technology and media students abroad participating in an academic and professional setting. As an RMU student abroad you will spend the quarter (7 weeks abroad) learning about the country, the city, the culture and your industry in the global market. You will interact with G18’s students and faculty in the Design Thinking & Entrepreneurship course and then complete an internship at an international company. You will reside in student housing where you will have the opportunity to meet people from around the world. Open to all junior-level or higher students.


SPRING 2 QUARTER

STUDY ABROAD FEE: $5,500


LONDON study abroad at Regent’s University is a program especially tailored for graduate students. The itinerary is full of field research meeting with business owners, civic leaders and experiencing sites rich with the history of the United Kingdom.


SUMMER QUARTER

NEW TAIPEI CITY in the heart of Taiwan is known for its innovative design and industry. Students will study abroad at Ming Chi University of Technology, complete an internship, and participate in an intense Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship workshop.  Students will also participate in cultural tours including five days in the metropolitan city of Tokyo, Japan exploring this modern day city rich with ancient history.

PARIS has been the destination of business students abroad seeking to expand their academic setting internationally. As an RMU student abroad, you will spend 7 weeks learning about the country, the city, the culture and the global market. You will attend courses at the American Business School of Paris and reside in one of their student housing complexes where you will have the opportunity to meet people from around the world.

Study Abroad Cost:

Undergraduate: RMU quarterly tuition + Study Abroad fee (listed in each location description)
Graduate: RMU graduate per-course tuition + Study Abroad fee (listed in each location description)

Study Abroad Fees include: Round-trip airfare from Chicago, Airport transfers at Destination, Housing, Travel in Cultural Perspectives course (undergrad) or Field Research (graduate), public transportation pass when applicable, and insurance.

Federal and state financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

  • Complete the study abroad application.
  • Completion of 5 quarters (unless otherwise noted) prior to departure.
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Reference from student’s academic advisor
  • Completed FAFSA, SIGNED financial aid plan and a $0 financial-aid balance by February 24, 2020
  • $300 deposit*

*A $300 deposit is required at the time of application. It is returned in the form of a credit to the applicant’s account if they are NOT accepted into the program. If accepted, it is credited upon return, if there are no housing damages, flight changes, or any expenses incurred by the student due to negligence.
