Commencement Ceremony and Graduation Fees

The University offers one commencement ceremony per year:  traditionally in the spring. Commencement is a formal academic ceremony and academic attire is worn. There is a fee to attend the commencement ceremony.  The graduation fee includes 6 tickets for the ceremony.  See the Register for Graduation & Order Regalia link below for more information.

Alternative Spring 2020 Commencement Date:
Friday, May 8, 2020 through Roosevelt University

Online registration for the February 29th commencement ceremony is now closed.  Registration for the February 29th commencement ceremony can be done at the University Bookstore ONLY.  Final deadline is February 3, 2020.  A late fee of $25.00 will be applied.

Attendance at the graduation exercise is optional; however, graduates that have satisfied degree requirements are entitled and encouraged to participate. When students satisfy their course and grade point average requirements, they will receive detailed instructions concerning the commencement exercise from the Student Information Office or from their Director on campus.

Students who are in their final quarter from meeting degree audit requirements for graduation may pay their graduation fee and attend the graduation ceremony. Students who may be eligible for awards will be able to receive them, and their names will be printed in the graduation program as long as payment is received before the set deadline date.

Students close to graduating, should verify and/or update their address prior to the last day of class in order to have the degree sent to the correct address. Degrees will not be ordered if a student has an outstanding balance at the time of graduation. There are two ways a student can do verify and/or update their address; either in person or online.
